Three Families – A reference to the three family-owned brands which have combined their collective heritage and expertise in Sri Lankan flavours to create Three Families Cocktail Seasonings.
Over 100 years old, Rockland Distilleries is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and largest distillers. Its products, including Ceylon Arrack and Colombo Gin are enjoyed across Asia, Europe, North America and Australia.
Amal de Silva Wijeyeratne is Managing Director of Rockland Distilleries and Great Grandson of its Founder.
Mr Lyan is a London-based drinks and hospitality group, best known for genre-defining cocktail bars including White Lyan, Dandelyan and Lyaness.
Ryan Chetiyawardana, aka Mr Lyan was born in Birmingham, England, to Sri Lankan parents and has family roots in Colombo and Galle.
Dilmah is a Sri Lankan tea producer with history dating back to the 1960s, and is best-known for its Ceylon Tea brand, which is enjoyed globally.
Dilhan Fernando is CEO of Dilmah and the son of its founder, Merrill J. Fernando.
"Bartenders across the world are always looking for ways to introduce their guests to new flavours and experiences via unexpected ingredients in their drinks. Tropical flavours are a powerhouse for this effect, but utilising these unusual, yet magical, ingredients – such as rambutan and calamansi – can be difficult to control, or keep consistent.
We set out to fix that with Three Families – introducing more people to flavours we know and love, and providing bartenders an easy, reliable and effective way to mix them into cocktails."
